What is stress and how do I know I’m stressed?

Do I have to be stressed or I chose to be stressed?

How can I get rid of this stress thing?

Sometimes life comes at us with this bang to which we tend to give in and give up without a try or even a look on the reasons for this hit and/or ways of solving this high powered hitter.

What is stress and how do I know I’m stressed?

Stress is this feeling you get when there are advanced or sudden changes regarding your body or a situation to which you respond whether physically, mentally or emotionally. Stress is like a drill, it’s a normal part of life that keeps you ready to attack danger, aware and even motivated.

Stress itself is danger but only you can attack it. Have you ever wondered what it can do to your health? Your mind? Your future life? Your beauty and appearance?

  1. Stress causes nervous breakdowns sometimes, the elevation of blood pressures and even lack of rest.
  2. When stress captures the mind, it takes command of your mentality. It gives you a pressure of the stressed situation causing you to doubt yourself regarding the same situation. It captures your thoughts and let you give in to the monster resulting in stress being the soul runner of your mind. It negatively tells you how to react to something when you could’ve stopped it but you have no other option but to give in because you’ve given stress the right to capture your mind.
  3. Stressing yourself may cause you to doubt your future life. It gives you the feeling that you cannot manage the hits of life because simple things that comes along causes you to stress yourself. Stress is a monster in everyone and everything but it’s how you can get rid of it. We’ll get to that later on.
  4. Ladies, have you ever looked at yourself before, during and/or after stress? Men, have you? Stress damages the body, it drains your happiness causing you to get pale sometimes, lose unexplained weight due to worry and it cause the smile that usually covers your face not to be present. Are you guilty? Think about it, this ever happened to you before? You start worrying and lose weight, saddened or becomes pale? Well I’m here to tell you that this doesn’t have to happen you can be happy regardless of the situation and a happy spirit results in a stress free life.

Do I have to be stressed or I chose to be stressed?

No! You don’t have to be stressed neither do you chose to be stressed. Sometimes it so happens that it’s just a combination; you don’t have to be stressed but you choose to be because you just don’t know how to deal with the situation and do otherwise.

How can I get rid of this stress thing?

You can learn overtime to manage situation and take control of getting stressed. Simple reminders are just what you need.

  1. Always try to be positive regardless of the situation at hand. A positive mind results in a positive action.
  2. Accept that there are situation that you cant control but give your mind the thought that you’re willing to try and change the result. Assert your feelings, opinions, or beliefs instead of becoming angry, defensive, or passive.
  3. Eat healthy-balanced meals and learn to manage your time more effectively.
  4. Make time for hobbies and other interests. Try to Get enough rest because your body needs time to recover from stressful events.
  5. Seek social support and spend time with those you love. You can also take treatment with a psychologist or other mental health professional trained in stress management. Last but not least
  6. Don’t rely on alcohol, drugs, or compulsive behaviors to reduce stress, instead, take control of the situation and try to find a solution. A solution does exist somewhere, find it.

In conclusion, ask yourself and look on past experiences and identify a stressful situation and compare it with the result now whether negative or positive. How have u dealt with it?

My question to you is, Are you willing to let situation stress you just like that or Are you ready to choose whether or not you’ll be stressed?
